AS/NZS 4586: Slip Testing

AS/NZS 4586 is the primary Australian standard that relates to the slip resistance classifications of new pedestrian surface materials.

Testing to AS/NZS 4586 evaluates and classifies the slip resistance of surfaces under wet conditions and provides crucial data to support the design and construction of spaces where pedestrian safety is of concern such as walkways, floors, ramps and other grip critical surfaces.

Independent Testing Australia (ITA) is equipped with specialised Wessex Pendulum slip testing apparatus and has the ability to perform analysis in the laboratory or on site for project specific data.
